Rhys steals Vasquez's car from episode 2 which becomes a time machine like back to the future. Felix appears and is in a major role, helps them return to the future. Rhys and Fiona are the main focus as they try to get back home. So them being friendly or hatefull towards each other would limit the options for you during gameplay: you as a player play the story.but the game can't know if you let them have a romance or not.“It is a time travel story. Maybe if the story would be told by each taking turns of telling it, then this could have worked? But then the overall way the game/story was designed wouldn't have been possible: Rhys and Fiona are captured and they are telling the story. and I think game-wise just wouldn't work. If you imediatly switch to Fiona, this starts to feel strange/too easy/. ![]() If this is a scripted answer, you can't change it later when you play as Fiona. Imagine you play Rhys first, romance with Fiona.they you would need some kind of answer/reaction. Secondly, a romance between the two would have been difficult, if not impossible to design. First of all, it wouldn't have made sense if both were tagging along all the time because then there wouldn't have been two sides of the story to tell. Rhys and Fiona are the 2 protagonists telling their part of the 'same story'. (*) I think the game is designed very logically from the design point of view. Now, those are just my thoughts and feelings about my playthough, so I want to end this post by giving some thoughts towards an alternative. ![]() The romance would have felt less forced and the demise would simplifiy future, potentialy tough choices )Īnyway, that didn't happen and then the 'real' ending made me regret my choices somehow.especially when thinking about a potential second season, Rhys and Fiona taking off and all. Maybe it's just me but I really had enough of these silly hollywood-happy endings. I think the story would have been way better when Sasha would have actually died. This was all fine for me, until the end of the game. ![]() Then there was the flower moment and I just though: "Damn, no turning back now.but what about Fiona?" I made my choice and kind of romanced around with Sasha as it still felt OK-ish dispite it being the only option in the game (beside not romancing at all). Initially this felt just forced because it was always Rhys and Sasha that were teamed up while Fiona would have been an viable option(*). It wasn't until episode 3, when Rhys and Sasha were sent on their way that I stated feeling that this was 'forced'. Neither i nor character i play has any reasons to feel something for Sasha, and both of us have a lot of reason to feel for Fiona.Īt first, the interactions with Sasha seemed natural to me and it didn't bother me at all. Originally posted by Voodooman:Until the moment with flower i did not even felt that anything is going on between Sasha and out guy, because most of character and relationship development and obvious chemisty happened between him and Fiona, while Sasha was more like a support character, and when i was forced to show some "love" to Sasha game started to feel really dissapointing because it was quite unbelievable and came out of nowhere. ![]() This game really needs patch with some revamp of story and additional choice for Fiona, but knowing TTG, they never ever improve their games, only release new episodes, so i guess there is no hope to get rid of this frustration.ĭamn, until this moment with flower i was so excited about this game and liked that there was no forced death like in Walking Dead, but they did it again, just instead of forced death they made a forced romance :-( Why the hell they give no choice for romance and forcing story in such unbelievable fashion with least obvious character to care about?
